CRETAN WINE from PEZA UNION

The Agrarian Union of Peza was established at the village of Peza in 1933. It is strategically located at a distance of 16 Km from the city of Iraklion. Currently the Union numbers 3000 members and features fully automated modern installations that process the 80-85% of the agricultural produce of the area.

The basic products of the Union of Peza are virgin olive oils and fine wines. These are the result of meticulous care and expertise by all those who are involved with the traditional cultivation and subsequent processing. The final products are distinguished for their excellent taste, aroma, and overall character and enjoy the esteem of the national and international markets.

The Agrarian Union of Peza has been certified as per ISO 9001 and applies the system HACCP.

CRETAN WINES

Crete is the largest island of Greece with a long wine-making history that goes back to the Minoan Civilization, approximately 5000 years ago. Not far from Iraklion, and between the mountain ranges of Dikti and Psilorotis, lies the Valley of Peza. The area has a long tradition in viticulture, where the famous native varieties Vilana, Athiri, Kotsifali and Mandilari are grown. The AGRARIAN UNION OF PEZA, the top wine-making industry on Crete, plays a major role in the conservation of these varieties and produces a wide range of fine and famous wines.
